Missing Children's Network Celebrates 27 Years of Service PDF Print E-mail

The Missing Children's Network, an AMECO member organization, celebrated 27 years of service on May 21, 2012.  Director General Pina Arcamone commented on the milestone.

"In these past 27 years, we have made tremendous strides in recovering missing children and protecting them from harm ... yet too many children still do not make it home and countless more are victims in other ways.  One child missing is already one too many.  We must do more!  We must do better!  Our children deserve no less.

On this special anniversary, our thoughts turn with gratitude towards all of you who, year-after-year, collaborate with us in so many special ways to help locate and recover missing children.  Thanks to you, we are comforted by the thought that today 829 children are safely back home while tens of thousands more have learned to develop sound safety strategies.

To all of you who generously give of your time … post our search notices in your community … organize a special event or collect funds for our programs … welcome and host our child safety workshops and identification clinics … raise awareness about missing children issues and help us bring comfort to all our afflicted families … we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your tireless efforts, generous support and perpetual trust."

AMECO congratulates Missing Children's Network and all of our members for the hard work they do everyday to bring missing children home and to keep all children safe from harm.
